Royal Air Maroc has officially kicked off its 2026 growth strategy by opening a new air base at Tetouan Sania Ramel Airport. This move is part of a broader plan to decentralize Moroccan air travel and bolster connectivity in the north.
Following this, RAM (Royal Air Maroc) announced a wave of new direct routes from its primary Casablanca hub starting in April 2026, including:
- Africa: New service to Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo).
- Arab Region: Direct flights to Tripoli (Libya) and Beirut (Lebanon).
- Europe: Expansion into Bilbao, Alicante, and Verona.
Why it matters: This expansion supports Morocco’s goal to become a “Global Aviation Hub” ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
